1. கர்த்தாவே, என் சத்துருக்கள் என்னை மேற்கொண்டு மகிழவொட்டாமல், நீர் என்னைக் கைதூக்கி எடுத்தபடியினால், நான் உம்மைப் போற்றுவேன்.
A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2. என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன், என்னை நீர் குணமாக்கினீர்.
O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

3. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாளத்திலிருந்து ஏறப்பண்ணி, நான் குழியில் இறங்காதபடி என்னை உயிரோடே காத்தீர்.
O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4. கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களே, அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணி, அவருடைய பரிசுத்தத்தின் நினைவுகூருதலைக் கொண்டாடுங்கள்.
Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5. அவருடைய கோபம் ஒரு நிமிஷம், அவருடைய தயவோ நீடிய வாழ்வு; சாயங்காலத்தில் அழுகை தங்கும், விடியற்காலத்திலே களிப்புண்டாகும்.
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6. நான் ஒருக்காலும் அசைக்கப்படுவதில்லையென்று, என் வாழ்விலே சொன்னேன்.
And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

7. கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய தயவினால் நீர் என் பர்வதத்தைத் திடமாய் நிற்கப்பண்ணியிருந்தீர்; உமது முகத்தை நீர் மறைத்துக்கொண்டபோதோ நான் கலங்கினவனானேன்.
LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

8. நான் குழியில் இறங்குகையில் என் இரத்தத்தால் என்ன லாபமுண்டு? புழுதி உம்மைத் துதித்து, உமது சத்தியத்தை அறிவிக்குமோ?
I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.

9. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும்; கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எனக்குச் சகாயராயிரும் என்று சொல்லி;
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10. கர்த்தாவே, உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன்; கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கெஞ்சினேன்.
Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

11. என் புலம்பலை ஆனந்தக் களிப்பாக மாறப்பண்ணினீர்; என் மகிமை அமர்ந்திராமல் உம்மைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணும்படியாக நீர் என் இரட்டைக் களைந்துபோட்டு, மகிழ்ச்சியென்னும் கட்டினால் என்னை இடைகட்டினீர்.
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12. என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மை என்றென்றைக்கும் துதிப்பேன்.
To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
